John Denver became a star through the folk-inspired songs he wrote, most of which are located in Colorado. He was born Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. in Roswell New Mexico, he was in love with Colorado and then relocated to Aspen. Denver's national anthems to his adopted state have drawn many to Colorado.
